i think it was tuesday wen Derek, Joseph, and I went out preaching on the kent state campus. there werent that many people and i was pretty discouraged. we were just walking around and derek goes up to this one kid and starts talking to him. we let him do most of the talking..and he had some pretty weird beliefs. throughout the convo, i would just input some of my thoughts on what he had to say. the convo lasted about 20 mins, and at one point i asked him if he ever read the bible. he said he did but not that much, so i asked if he wanted to read more and he replied that he didnt own a bible or had money for one. so i gave him the new testiment i was holding and encouraged him to read it. and then we all prayed for him.
this was the one time during this whole week that i could actually relate to someone and actually really cared about their salvation. i knew first hand what he had been going through and i so badly wanted for him to be saved. even though he didnt get saved, i felt peaceful in the end and had faith that something of the gospel and God got through to him.
